1862-s $20 Upgrade Candidate?

Slabbed as a slider but I look at some MS 60 and feel like this coin at the very least has stronger eye appeal.

Terrible image. Probably will not go up. Leave as is as you don't want a "details" grade!!!
Can't make a call based on those images.
Not good images to base an opinion on. But nice die break.
I'll go along with Insider2 on this one. Leave as is or risk a "details" coin.
I would buy it, but not as an UNC.
Cheers
Bob
THE financial incentive is there to try it but I’d do it as a regrade and not a crack out.
Latin American Collection
the color looks off to me. it looks like it could be a later type 3 with that color. however, i agree with @Boosibri on this one. why not a regrade if you feel strongly. get some good photos of it too...it has an above average strike for that year. usually the details are mushy.
Cannot tell from those photos. Looks like field rub but hard to say. Crackout might come back at AU58.
Great coin and it depends on if the Dark areas by stars 1 &13 and her neck is smutz or luster breaks/rub.
I would crack & acetone if you are positive there is no tooling on the coin.
11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
No need to acetone the coin. The dark color is not a residue! Do as the others suggested - regrade only.
Compare the coin in-hand with images from Auction Archives. Images abound
HA FUN this year had seven (!) ranging from 40-53.
Your imagery makes any opinion here useless,
I like it !!!
Appears to be a nice gold coin... cannot tell much more from those pictures. Go for a regrade if you are selling it....nothing to really lose that way.. Cheers, RickO
How is the luster? that will determine it..
BTW, I can help you take nice images, and my service is Free!
