Whine, whine, whine - I missed out on CRO's EarlyBird e-mail.

AT 10:05 MDT today I received an e-mail with CRO's EarlyBird listing of coins. I didn't see it for a couple of minutes. At 10:11 I was on the phone with John, wanting to purchase one coin for sure and one "almost for sure."

They were both already gone. :(

Unbelievable!

Kudos to John for being able to find the sorts of coins that keep us on our toes.

Surprising how fast they are snapped up!

Seemed like a lot of coins sold quickly. Everything I was remotely interested in was on hold by the time I looked at the email.

I was able to grab the 1892 Barber 25c in MS63. First time purchase from them, probably won't be my last. I felt lucky to get it before someone else did,

Does he take requests? Lately haven't seen too much in my price range. Of course the ones I do want are always gone.

@ChrisRx. I was hoping to grab the classic $5 gold in AU53. Was a pretty coin.

Gotten to the point that I try to pick out the one or two CRO pieces that will say "HOLD" when I click on them. :D

That is a killer early date cap and rays 8R. Glad to see you snapped that one up BB. Of course I saw the email about three hours too late. Damned work got in the way again.

Weiss, I play the same game! I've gotten pretty good at it.

    Some criteria:

    1. Low to moderate price. People rarely pull the trigger 1 minute after viewing a $3k+ coin
    2. Old holder + some color on classic silver. Usually does the trick.
    3. Great-looking South American silver, high grade
    4. Classic or Liberty head gold (not $20) original skin, old holder
    5. Coins with "the look"

I'm sure you have some others as well.

What does not get snapped up quick?

Colonials (I'm sure this will change at some point)

The real key is to get on the secret Earlier Bird list that gets the email at 8:59.
