Had BlueCC image some of my Type Set gold

panexpoguypanexpoguy Posts: 1,239 ✭✭✭✭✭

Set is not complete yet, but I have gathered these so far.

No, I don't mind copper on original surfaces

Don't mind the bit of copper on this one either, loved the face and nose

Picked this up just because I really liked it

Still missing a few to complete the set, and it will be lost in the pack of the registry even when done, but I have enjoyed the hunt so far.

Nice coins, especially the type 2 dollar. Those are HARD to find nice. The classic half-eagle is also nice - precisely the type of coin I’d be hunting for.

Your collection reminds me I need to up my game a bit. :)

Wow, that is beyond me, but sounds like fun. The hunt is the best part of collecting.

Its 24 coins in total in my set and except the saint high relief everything else in obtainable at a decent price, including the 1838/9 covered ear eagle. Except saint and type 3 liberty double eagle, all of mine are in 61-63 range. I have a 1911-d quarter eagle in 58 and $3 in 58 too.

I love those gold pieces. The 1889 and 1901 especially. Wait...the 1882 too. I'd be happy to own any of them.

Todd's images are superb, as usual. You can't do much better.

I like the 1882 $5. Todd does a great job.

Superb images by Todd.... and great coins.... My '09D $5 looks just like yours.... just compared them with your large images and a magnifier.... Cheers, RickO
