Did you know that the Atwater Sale of 1946 is public at PCGS ?
https://www.pcgs.com/Research_Archive/Document/?doc=8
Included there are:
1793 Wreath Cent SP 68 RD, 1793 Liberty Cap Cent MS 64+ and 1796 no pole half cent MS 67 RB
And so is the 1804 Dexter Dollar:

Thanks for the links!
Impressive...
The most recent record of the 1885 Trade Dollar was an astronomical $1275.
Very interesting... thanks for the links.... Cheers, RickO
Don't forget the Newman Numismatic Portal, which has most if not all Mehl sales.

No buyer's fee!
I enjoyed the 1867 letter by Matthew Stickney about how he bought the 1804 dollar at the mint, etc., especially the part about how he'd been collecting for 50 years, most without a competitor, and gave up actively collecting in 1854.
I think my 1842 $5 in 65 is from the Atwater sale
Latin American Collection
Can anybody tell me if my 1792 Half Disme in PCGS 66 is from that Atwater sale ?
It says reverse is off center and prooflike, so that would fit.
My 1796 half Cent is, this I know.
I would say it is not. The Atwater plate shows uninterrupted denitls below the star on the reverse.
