If you paid bullion (small premium over spot) price you did extremely well. PCGS price guide puts it at $6750 in MS63.

I did pay a bit over spot, but I don't believe anybody will pay full boat retail for it...that stated, I still did very well if I get even 75% of that retail.

Yes, it's in a PCGS slab. It was shipped by PCGS on Wednesday, so it's on it's way to me now. I checked the pop report on Tuesday after I got the grade and it was 123, then on Wed it went to 124.

Nice coin! You'll do well on it, if you decide to sell it.

Are you sure? I had a buddy of mine buy me about $50 face of pre-33, he picked this out with some $5 and $2.50 from a coin shop he does business with all the time. They made their markup off him, he then made his mark up off me and was happy. When I told him what it was he offered to buy it back and I told him I'd trade it back to him if I couldn't sell it before I got it back from PCGS. So in the end he'll make his usual markup on it at least once and maybe twice. I will also say that if he buys it back he understands that it's a long hold to sell it to make good money, so yes, in the end I'm the big winner but he didn't lose in any way, shape or form.

So, in other words, awesome for you, good for the seller, but a little less awesome. (i.e. not so much)

    Congrats, beautiful coin, really nice.

Why is there so much worry about a grown up who buys, then sells a coin, and another grown up who takes the next step? I say great follow up, and we learn as we go--i have had to sell some stuff that I knew might grade well, and I didnt cry, nor did i want anyone to cry for me, Im a big boy too.
