Just back from PCGS, what do you think?

I thought it would get a 65, awful mark free for a 64, but oh well.

I got to looking at the pics a little more and decided to reshoot. Lower obverse pic and lower reverse pic the lighting was adjusted to try and show a little more luster. Comments as always are welcome.

If luster is good...64+.....that's a hard call to make from the picture.

I think it could have made 65.

I'll guess 64. Did you adjust the color? The color of the slab looks strange.

MS65.... that one is tough - combination of the picture and the tarnish.... but seems to have nice detail... the top edge of LIBERTY is weak... probably strike, not sure.. Cheers, RickO

MS-65. I find that type of toning on a nickel attractive.

Posted a couple more pics, just really did not like the first set of images. I went from using three lights down to just using two lights for the second set of images. I wanted to leave the original pics here just for comparison.

    65

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

Looks like a 64 disguised as a 65. I would grade Buff at a 65. But! These days they are tough on buffalo nickels so I'm gonna say 64.
Pretty buff by the way :)

Luster rules the roost on these, though the well struck ones tend to have less luster than those struck from worn dies. The obverse appears to have more luster than the reverse, which looks to be a bit muted.

Or, maybe you just got hosed. Nice coin regardless of grade. I still need to locate a nice 13-D for my set.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

Surprisingly..................13-D TY1 Buffs make for a better type coin. Well done effort for a Branch Mint first strike.

I'm late to the party but I would have guessed 65. Sweet Buff. :D
