@Lakesammman....Looks like a couple of Mica's in there... some other interesting ones.... @rhedden ... I have sixteen Guineas and two Cobras... Indians, Superman's, swirls, flames - all of them.... not to mention a thousand or so in jars and bags.....Been thinking about selling them... Cheers, RickO
I took a crappy pic of Grampaw's marble along with some my wife had that were hers and her brother's when they were kids.
AND...my "special" one that I only lost ONCE with.
(but had to trade hard to get BACK.... )
We didn't play marbles as is customary. Really never knew how. We'd just shoot one and the other guy would try to hit it. Sometimes it would cover almost the whole block. Just chasing marbles.
I've had a few civil-war era marbles (not the ones in the photo, but exactly like them.) Neat to think a kid was probably playing with them 150 years ago.
