I asked this question over a year ago. The answer was to call customer service. I haven't gotten around to it but let us know if you find out.

These are often referred to as "private pattern coins" in that they have a direct relationship to proposed US coinage, but were not specifically authorized or requested by the US Mint. Authentication and grading seems to be applicable just as for any other cataloged item of this nature.
A current research project is focused on better understanding and describing both the Inco and Gould "private patterns." The Great Collections lot is preliminarily called "obverse 5" out of 6 design variants.
A friend called and said customer service wasn't helpful. They apparently didn't know either.
From the GC photo it looks more like nickel than titanium. But without accurate measurements and data on magnetic attraction, the composition is a guess.
The details do not appear to be well struck... could be the material....One would think, that for a proposed pattern, it would be much better. Cheers, RickO
The design is mostly bi-level rather than full relief. This makes it look strange, especially on the reverse.
