I bought a couple of blasters from Wal-Mart today. Pulled the "Baby Bull"! Numbered 67/69, which is kind of neat since 67 was his MVP season. Also, he hit his final homerun as a member of my favorite team, the Kansas City Royals.
So, I'm getting to the point that I needed to start putting my cards in order and start working towards a set, at least 1-400. I didn't particularly notice this when opening the various hobby and blaster boxes, but I'm coming across a few random seriously OC cards. Is this something done intentionally, to give kind of an authentic or historically accurate depiction of what it was like to buy cards in 1969? With today's technology, you'd think nothing like this would occur other than with explicit intent.
Didn't think my 2000th post would be a big splash but this changed things!
I haven't bought any Heritage boxes since 2008 so I was in PA a couple weekends ago
and stopped in my favorite hobby shop Knuckleball Sportscards and bought one hobby
box for the heck of it. I like to get the family involved so we finally got around to it
today. Never pull anything from the boxes I buy...until yesterday....
hey guys, down to only NINE!!!!! 491 cards in black....by the way bought all of brent's blacks....that was a 275 card jump start, in addition to the 90 i had from my 15 cases.
PLEASE let me know if you have any of these.....i only need these 9. I will certainly make it worth your effort. thanks. jim.

Opened my case finally. Pretty uneventful until I found the Josh Bell Throwback in the last box. If anyone here is interested, let me know. I am looking for the action variations, but not trying the other variations.

From what I can see Mick? It seems they let the presses "run" all day long IMO. There seems to be a ton of retail out there - I was at the Px at Ft Sam Houston and the supplier dropped a bunch boxes of retail packs this late in the game.

You could open 20 cases and not nail that card.
Not sure what happened, but I thought I posted on this yesterday?
Beckett has the card at 6K - but I did see where they're going in the 2K range - all and all - on eBay.
If I pulled one? It'd stay in my collection since I can't part with anything - at least not consciously.
i know brent well, great guy always helpful. We've spent hours on the phone hashing over our breaks....
