I feel like this coin best shows why I'm concerned with SMS diagnostics

Strong Squared Rim, Deep Strike, No contact marks, heavy die polishing, and in person you can see a difference in finish compared to my other dimes.

This isn't my area of expertise so I had to compare to the example @mercurydimeguy referenced in your other thread along with a couple others that have sold at Heritage (linked below).

I feel like the third image I link to below does the best job of showing the die polish lines that are present on these SMS coins. What really stood out to me was that the die polish lines on SMS coins are all going in the same direction, and cover the entire surface of the coin. On your coin, it looks like the lines are vertical in some areas and horizontal in others, plus there are some spots which don't appear (based on these photos) to have any lines at all. All that said I think you have a regular 1964 dime with some die polish lines, which isn't too uncommon (I bought a '64 dime recently with very similar die polish lines).

Actually, the links you posted show that the lines go in all directions and they crisscross. It actually uses the word crisscross when describing the Jefferson 64 SMS.

I am a tad confused... Is your interest here in finding SMS coins in circulation? Or just in the analysis of the coins already in SMS sets? Cheers, RickO

The top coin doesn't have squared rims, imo.
The left side is a very minor mis-aligned die,
giving it the wider rims. Not squared.

The Die Polishing marks shown are very very
common on this date. I first saw this on 1964
dimes, while I was looking for errors, in the
    60's.....not indicative of SMS strikes.

Here are a few photos of PCGS MS 1964 Roosevelt's showing the similar criss-cross die polishing. These are screen captures taken from CoinFacts.
