Ricko's suggestion is a possibility,
but I see a discolored and possible
flattened area on the bottom 1/3rd
of the vertical bar, and it looks like
it might be damaged, which pushed
the metal down and to the right.
A close up of that area would be very helpful.

To me it looks like it took a hit and the metal got moved down.
