Anybody clamoring for another Kennedy coin...?

It appears that another Kennedy Commemorative coin might be on the way in 2020.
While I'm a fan of the Kennedy Half Dollar series, we have already seen a Presidential Dollar coin and a Gold Half Dollar honoring him. Do we need another coin? Thoughts?

Nope, I think it'll die in committee...

And just what does 2020 have to do with JFK anyway? 103rd birthday? 59th anniversary of his presidency? 57th anniversary of his death?

    Coin makes no sense...

I agree, but the US Mint does have a history of messing with anniversary dates.

I don't believe it is the US Mint, per se, where the messing with dates happens in modern times. Rather, I believe the US Mint is bound by legislation that passes Congress and must adhere to the details in the bills.

Yes... all coinage decisions come from congress... This one will likely die a quiet death simply due to the current political state and 2020 will be a fevered election year....Cheers, RickO

I don't want it. He was a better president than what we have had in recent times, but he was certainly no saint. At least he learned from his mistakes.

There have been enough Kenndy coins. He certainly does not rank with Lincoln, Washington or FDR.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
