If I sell all of my wheat cents, do I still notice them in change and keep them or ignore them.
This is a subset problem I am having in reducing my collection/accumulation to a box of 48.

Successful transactions with : MICHAELDIXON, Manorcourtman, Bochiman, bolivarshagnasty, AUandAG, onlyroosies, chumley, Weiss, jdimmick, BAJJERFAN, gene1978, TJM965, Smittys, GRANDAM, JTHawaii, mainejoe, softparade, derryb, Ricko

I can't tell you how you would react, but from my own experience I can tell you that I did not collect coins for about 25 years and I still noticed and picked out the wheat cents and older silver coins when I saw them.

You'll still notice them; you'll still pick them out of change and put them aside. It's the collector inside you.

I still notice them but don't keep them unless they are problem free AU or are better dates. That means I may keep about one per year at this point. I haven't found a better date one in years.

I don't run into many Wheat Cents these days, and most of the ones I see have problems.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I still look at my change and keep the wheaties...found a 1916 a week or so ago... I find, on average, about one a week....no silver in change in a long time - No war nickels either. Cheers, RickO
