Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

I sold him the Willow Tree Sixpence (six in private hands, I think?) and the New Yorke in America Token - there are some phenomenal rarities there.

It looks like a great collection.

It would have been nice to have his coins reholdered with his provenance. It would have also been fun to have the provenance be "PCGS President" ;)

I can't even look at JA's site tight now. He has the nicest New Yorke token I've ever seen by a country mile. It's also $165.,000 less my groupon

I think that's the one that came out of Europe a few months ago. I saw it and was gobsmacked.

It looks like a great collection, and should be fun to look at lot viewing. Good luck, Don!

That is an awesome collection! I kept having flashbacks to when I was a kid, flipping through pages of the Red Book...item after item after item. Bravo, very cool.

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

My wife caught me looking at that token and gobsmacked me in the head with the check book. She has never raised a single eye brow when I've bought a coin but I'm sure both would have met her hairline on this one

Phenomenal collection! I've had my eye on one piece in particular ever since I saw it listed...unfortunately, I'm sure it'll go for moon money.

I love that Chalmers Shilling on JA's site. Broke as a joke though after another DW purchase. I need to sell some more coins...:o

You should have seen his Bust Halves about 10 years ago, sold IIRC by Goldbergs. @coinlieutenant buried him in a common date 55 that later sold there for $3000+.

One of a small handful of coins that I miss. Hope you are happy you made me cry. At least I will get that coin back sometime. @ElmerFusterpuck

@DonWillis How long did it take to assemble such an amazing collection?

I believe he did it pretty quickly. When I asked why he was selling his Barber's he said he was starting to collect Colonials. I don't know if that's when he started but does seem to be when he honed in on them.

@coinlieutenant and others, this was one of them for sure, it's been posted quite a bit and is my icon. Still enjoying this coin too! This coin did have some crazy ups and down on past auction prices, what was once 'burial' price is now on the lower end of offers I've received for it.

Same coin, I viewed it in London.

Definitely an incredible coin, it's easy to see why you zeroed in on it. You've got excellent taste!

I had my eye on a colonial that is now 2.5 x any recent auction. Best of luck Don.
