1979 D Penny Doubled Mintmark (Need Info!)

I found this coin roll hunting and it is clearly doubled on the mintmark and a little bit on the 9. How much is it worth?

In that condition, I don't see a premium over the value of a cent.

Looks like MD, but since it is listed..

Still, very rough condition, little value

It is worth nothing over face value. It is machine doubling and not a double die or repunched mint mark. Machine doubling is very common and although intriguing it does not really add any significant value to a coin.

The 9 looks like machine doubling... but the D looks more like an RPM....I know that the MM is not hand punched... but it looks like it...... Cheers, RickO
