    Beautiful set!!!!!!

She's yet to arrive, but en route. Silver touching the 15's even if only briefly, has relit the silverbug fire in me

For the past year or so, I'd felt 'satisfied' with my silver holdings. Not anymore. :D

Great PP&G set. I didn't realize that they now make 20 oz and 25 oz bars. I've seen the 1 oz through 10 oz sets for sale on APMEX and on eBay but the don't include the special 8.88 oz bar which is made for the Asian market since they traditionally consider the number 8 to be good luck.

I like the design on the RMC silver bar and I have several of their bars. The ones I have came in their own cardboard box to protect them from scuffing.

    Nice bars guys!
I really like the RMC kilos. Like PH said, they come in nice boxes to protect them and it allows for nice stacking when storing them.

Added these to the stack this week.

3 sequential W series bars. With "copy" of original invoice and shipping box 1981

Those are really nice and extremely rare to find with all the paperwork.Great find.

Based on the invoice, $10.56/oz in Oct/81 ? Am I reading it right ?

  • WeissWeiss Posts: 9,941 ✭✭✭✭✭

Those sequential bars with paperwork are absolutely hardcore, @cmanbb .

I'm still in a funk, with nobody selling anything interesting at these low prices. The hunt for the unusual and interesting becomes much more difficult. Conversely, if you're looking to add and you don't mind common/modern, now is definitely the time.

Here are a few older images since I have nothing new to add :(

Yes you are. I tried to find what spot price was back in Oct. 1981, but could not find it. So my question, what premium was paid if any for this lot of 10 engelhard bars?

Probably no premium silver was right under $11 in 1981 and in 1982 it fell to under $5.
