From the Henry Hilgard error collection...1809 O-112. Spectacular double struck coin. Purchased as part of a group of Charlton Meyer's bust half errors from Sheridan Downey in 2009. Meyer purchased it from the Russell J. Logan collection auctioned by Bowers and Merena Galleries November 6-9, 2002, lot# 2237, where it sold for $14,950.00. Earlier from Stu Witham to Russ Logan in April 1992, and earlier from Julian Leidman to Stu Witham in 1972. This coin is also plated in the second edition of Edgar E. Souders' Bust Half Fever (2006) on page 234.
