2017 Summer FUN vs. Winter FUN show size question

ManorcourtmanManorcourtman Posts: 8,440 ✭✭✭✭✭
Can someone please tell me what to expect at the upcoming Summer FUN show as far as size, number of Dealers ie. compared to the Winter FUN shows. Will it be half as big, as the winter show? Less than half the size? Thanks!!

Call Randy Campbell the FUN president at ICG on Monday. He knows all that stuff. I heard him say that last years (?) winter show was a record.

It currently looks like there are about 180 dealer table assignments for the Summer FUN Show in Orlando. Summer FUN shows are substantially smaller than Winter FUN Shows, which is not a bad thing, and just as much FUN. The next Winter FUN Show will be in Tampa, FL, 4 - 7 January 2018.

Although the summer FUN show is smaller, it is still a large show compared to most local venues, and, IMO, worth attending if possible. Cheers, RickO

I am looking forward to Summer FUN. It is always a good show, and while it's not up there with Winter FUN and the Baltimore shows, there is usually a good selection of dealers. I bought a 1796 half dollar in Fine-15 at a Sumer FUN some years ago. That coin is part of the "holy grail" for type collectors.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
