This article is in the June Numismatist, pages 43-51, and might be of interest to many collectors.
It describes how the Mints and FRBs rescued rare gold coins from pieces deposited following the gold hoarding orders of 1933. It's especially interesting to notice how many very rare pieces were turned in at face value - a testament to what can happen to collections inherited by uninformed relatives.

Yes, and great article and one of the black marks against the Roosevelt Administration. FDR rates at a near great to great president, but he is not on the level with Lincoln and Washington partly because he was so arrogant.
