Prop Kennedy half dollar from the television program "Twilight Zone" episode titled "Profile in Silver", broadcast on March 7, 1986.

This was a science-fiction story about a time traveler from the future who wants to meet President Kennedy.

    Beautiful,beautiful coin!

    Thanks.
Amazingly enough i broke it out of an apparently mint sealed cello pack.
Bought this set for $100 off ebay.

According to the seller, this along with a bevy of other cello pack proof sets, were wrapped in newspaper and stored in an un-airconditioned garage in Florida for 20 years. You can see some toning on the other coins, but there was magic with the Kennedy.

Very cool thread! How 'bout this strange holder which houses a Kennedy?
It's the 1971p. By the look of the coin, obverse, as well as, reverse, it looks almost hit free and flawless! Thinking about sending in? If I can get the bugger out of it's prison? LOL The coin is in a acrylic round with a little chain for a key/keys. I found this many years ago and decided to hold on to it.

    a PCGS 66 goes for $225. 67 goes for $2500

    1. Wow. He still exists in my mind as a young president. There's something about dying young that keeps you eternally youthful in memory. I like Kennedys, because, along with Ikes and a few wheat cents, they're the oldest coins I remember actually seeing in circulation as a kid.
