I agree with an earlier post which said they'll always remember JFK as young. I was shocked to realize that he was born in 1917 - - 12 years before my MOM!! So sad to think what might have been.......
I also agree with the poster who thanked the Mint/Congress for still making the JFK halves. But I would go one step further..... maybe, on the 100th anniversary of his birth, it would be a nice gesture to actually start CIRCULATING the coin again, rather than making them available only in Mont & Proof sets! Cut us small-time collectors a break!

Some of the 1970-D Kennedy Halves do come flashy, but it's pretty tough to actually get the PL designation from NGC on them. Not exactly sure how rare, but I ended up selling that MS64PL example for $250... certainly a bit more than a regular MS64.
