Hawaii Coin Show report

Yesterday, Saturday May 13 we had the one of the larger Hawaii coin shows. It was a beautiful sunny day in paradise yet there was a constant stream of people from opening to closing. There were a lot of new interesting coins such as 2 1916 standing liberty quarters, High grade ms67 Hawaii quarter, certified Hawaii bill missing the reverse overprint, extremely rare Hawaii nickel, high grade St Gaudens etc as well as many interesting raw coins. Buying activity however was slow as it has been since the beginning of the year. There were however, many people walking in to sell their inherited coins, most very common coins and worthless stamps.
took a few pictures but don't know how to post them.
a short half block away there was a great restaurant that many purchased great plate lunches such a garlic pork chops or mushroom gravy chicken.
overall it was a great location, air conditioned and a great time for all

Interesting short report but it does need pictures. Of the food, if nothing else.

Did you buy anything? Or, if you were on the selling side, did you sell anything?
volume of sales were light, only purchased a 1878-cc dollar that should grade P01, common silver dollars, a few Hawaiian tokens and a couple of slab $10 Libs. Normally would have purchased much more.
Thanks for the report... those garlic pork chops sound great.... I need to make those for dinner one night. I intend to look for a Hawaiian coin for my collection... somehow neglected that over the years. Cheers, RickO
