I agree with hutze1nm's post above. I actively seek out ICG slabbed coins to sell on e-Bay. I can buy them at large discounts under PCGS and NGC graded coins and sell them for virtually the same money.
That entirely depends on the coin, if the images aren't up to snuff they are very hard to sell, the market is risk averse and wants PCGS or NGC and preferably cac. Maybe under $200 in value or at small premiums relative to gold collectors are willing to bite and take the chance but they don't want to do returns or have to go through the ordeal or crossovers. NGC and PCGS have bulk submission deals on Morgans for less than the second tier services, why pay significantly more to ICG or Anacs without the same market acceptance, imaging, etc. and big companies standing behind the coins?
I like ICG personally and have many ICG graded coins. Of course people can disagree with any given ICG grade (just like they can disagree with a PCGS or NGC Grade) but ICG is quite professional and offers very fast and reasonably priced service.

I LOL at this post, not because I don't think it's true (I have no way of knowing) - I think it is funny. What do you do with all the extra money you make, buy more ICG coins? How do SEGS and ANACS coins fare? I've always heard that the "second tier TPGS's coins sell at a big discount.
I would be fine with questionable holders if there was a legal remedy for the buyers where an impartial group of numismatists would review such material and the company would be required to either pay for the real value of a properly graded coin or replace it with a market acceptable coin.

Oh goody,
Another grading panel of experts. Are they going to check TPGS slabs and major auctions also? Maybe they could use a special sticker on the slabs that are OK. There is still lots of room on a holder.
PS Do you sell coins on Ebay? Maybe they can watch you too.
From my experiences (that's all I have), I agree that the grading at the 4 major services is close to identical over all. I will also point out that by my personal grading standards I have found under graded, over graded, and grades I agree with. The latter make up the most of the slabs I've seen. Under graded coins (for whatever the reason including "evolving" standards) are usually taken off the market and graded higher. Over graded and problem coins (by my very tough personal standards) that are straight graded tend to remain as graded.
That said, what I tell every collector I speak with is this:
If I take the identical coin graded MS-65 by each of the 4 TPGS...it is basically worth more in a PCGS slab, than an NGC, slab, than an ICG slab, than an ANACS slab. Some will say the coin is worth more in an ANACS slab than an ICG slab. I don't think any will argue that the PCGS coin is worth the most - more than all the others.
SSSSSssssuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccccckkkkkkkk-up! LOL, Only kidding. I really believe that in at least 90% of the cases what I said about the values generally holds true.

LOL. Send the recommendation to eBay and let us know how it turns out!
As a side point, when they had that "panel of experts", some of who are members here, so many genuine coins were taken down it became a joke. Good riddance to them and to any other "panel" who will tell me what is real or not based solely on eBay photos.
ANACS is excellent, I showed then a 1912 S V-Nickel that was graded G-04, I nicely asked how many letters they needed for a VG (it had 4) They turned to the lady and told her to write it up, and look at me and said "we made a mistake"
I asked what I owed them and he said Why? we screwed up.
It looks like they are not offering the ICG grading option for raw coins, on the certified they are listing some, but don't indicate on the certified coin anything but PCGS, NGC and Anacs.

If they don't have that flavor in the case don't offer it to them.

I have bought many ICG greaded coins "sight seen" and have had no problem crossing at grade. Even had a few upgrades.

He's still listing his NNC "certified" coins: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1861-LIBERTY-HEAD-20-GOLD-NEAR-GEM-UNCIRCULATED-VERY-RARE-THIS-NICE-/311909771855?hash=item489f456a4f:g:37sAAOSwcj5ZW6fh

They are on par with ngc. I have several Dimes in their holders that I haven't got around to crossing yet.

That would only hold up with a statistical analysis, but since many auction companies do not accept ICG, some don't accept ANACS, either now, you would have to go on old sales. Great Collections apparently is not accepting ICG coins now, not sure why: http://www.greatcollections.com/main-sell If you look over ICG $20 Libs. that GC has sold, they don't go for very near Greysheet: http://www.greatcollections.com/CoinPrices/21/Gold-Double-Eagles?cmd=price_go&q=ICG&series=&sort=02
If the photography is up to snuff at the same level of top auction companies, buyers have more confidence.

I bought an ICG coin off GC last Sunday. Did this just change?
Not sure what you are reading, the page says they have discount grading rates at the other three, not that they won't accept ICG to sell.

Looks like the two that "sold" recently are back up: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1873-LIBERTY-HEAD-20-GOLD-DOUBLE-EAGLE-OPEN-3-ICG-MS63-RARE-THIS-NICE-/382167674283?hash=item58faf7edab:g:T9YAAOSwn~ZZbRSO
