Do you think if posters go back & edit their previous posts on this thread by deleting the Large Emoji's, it may repair the broken thread?

    I don't think so.
I just assume that there was some kind of software update to roll out the larger emoji's.
And the timing of the pictures not showing up in threads started around that time.
But I don't think the larger emoji's are the direct cause of the problem.

The problem with posting photos in this thread at present is not just with uploading.
You also can't display a photo from an outside URL (like photobucket).

It seems to be a bug in the software that creates HTML code to display all the posts on a page in this thread.
At a certain point, instead of generating < img ... it generates &lt img ... .
The photos look OK when you first post them, but then when you refresh the thread, the above code gets
generated instead, and you see the code instead of the photo....

It isn't just a problem with uploading pictures.
I tried posting pictures by entering a URL (link) to where they are hosted on my own website.
That didn't work either in this thread, but it usually works in other threads.

There was a problem getting pictures in this thread but not uploading a gif.

@dcarr in what general part of the US of A are you located?

Looks like they reverted back to the old software. (small emoji's).
Pictures now show up in the thread.

@dcarr That 1921 Peace Dollar in that original ANACS is truly impressive! I love the old ANACS holder. Seeing a truly original unmolested Peace Dollar in one is a awesome! Thanks for sharing!

This thread has awakened what was a dormant interest in Peace Dollars... I will need to scratch this itch before it turns into a major rash.... :D Cheers, RickO

@RogerB I know there were different reliefs in 1922. I think some 40+ thousand high relief were minted. Do you know if all were destroyed or have any surfaced?

A very small number of 1922 HR/Rev 1921 pieces are known. These are all from normal toggle presses and must have been examples pulled from trial production. It was typical for a few pieces to be given to Mint officials (who paid $1 each if they kept them) for examination and approval of regular manufacturing. I don't recall seeing a medal press proof of 1922 HR/Rev 1921. (I think there is one of the trial pieces in an NGC holder, but mislabeled as 1922HR/Rev 1922HR....but my memory might not be entirely accurate.)

    My recent purchase.

Hard to tell from the pics but appears to be Vam 1F matte proof dies. Hook above V in liberty. Die polish lines in front of neck. I would look into it for sure. Great luster and color. I love that coin!

Here's mine. Certainly no split ray to the right of the "B" but still one of the best I've seen. I bought it strictly because of the strike. I'm pretty sure those tiny green specks aren't PVC. PCGS MS-63.

I agree but I'll let PCGS do it. I've never used the service before. Anyone have any experience with it?
