These little buggers are not all that hard to find in general, but ones with decent appeal are. Managed to get this 1854 PCGS AU-55 for a decent price. I guess being a popular Redbook and 2 year run issue doesn't hurt either.

    Nice example which are tough to find because the design was difficult to execute. Planchet was too thin to accommodate the higher relief of the design. I consider the Type II pretty much a mistake by the mint.

    That is nice. Another huge plus is that the coin is very well struck for a Type II gold dollar. The hair above Ms. Liberty's forehead, the word "DOLLLAR" and the date is often weak on these coins. That's why the design was dropped after only part of a three year run. That one is really sharp.
