Plenty of wine. That is the way to have a banquet.

Those display cases look interesting... I would assume they were filled with St. Gaudens coins... Wine and coins go very well together I have found... ;) Cheers, RickO

Years ago some of your auction houses would have
    an open bar before auction.

Many European coin shows have open bars. The York fair in England has beer on draught in the middle of the bourse. At 9am I have never partaken but many do.

Wine loosens purse strings I've heard.

I stopped in a local coin auction a few weeks ago that was at a local Moose Lodge. The coins were disastrous, an 1802 Large cent fresh from the wire wheel, Complete Whitman Mercury dime album with a worn down 16 in the 16D hole that brought 16D money.... Draft beers were $1.75.... My Girlfriend drove and was bidding on other things that were in the auction so I sat at the bar... Spent more on $1.75 beers than i did at the auction but did run up the prices on some local yahoos that have done the same to me in the past.

    Successful trades.... MichaelDixon,
