Read something recently that orange-red toning that is original is very difficult to determine from dipped and retoned surfaces. What are your thoughts on this coin?

Not cleaned and who knows if it has been dipped in 200 years? Most have though.

Dipped maybe 50 years ago during the white coin craze, and nicely retoning, very pretty coin

Has signs of an old dip and poor rinse... a long time ago... Cheers, RickO
