Post pictures of your new purchases, your favorite precious metals, or even images you've seen online that get your blood pumping!

My favorite new purchase arrived from northern England yesterday:

George II Sterling Silver Quart Mug
Francis Spilsbury I
London, 1740
15 cm x 12.9 cm
592 grams (19.03 troy ounces)

This is my earliest mug so far in my collection of pre-Revolutionary War sterling mugs, and the first from the reign of George II.

Here's a group shot:

I got this early in the week:
Arts and crafts sterling, Arthur Stone Shop, George Erickson, (actual maker) baby spoon.
Hand forged, hand chased and pierced. A nice little addition... :)

I love that silver quart mug Weiss. B) Just awesome.

They seem to be somewhat less common and it is a type I need to find.

Thanks! I love my Tankard pictured above. But it's almost too fancy. The more you drink, the more the lid gets in the way.

The pint canns are sturdy and less expensive--but they're obviously smaller. Lots of reloading when you're drinking 12 ounce beverages, and they just don't work at all if you're drinking bombers.

The big open-topped quart mugs like this one and the Scofield far right hold a whole bomber at once with no lid to bump or scuff. They look and feel substantial without being fussy.

What is the weight and who made them. Very nice group of coins.

I really like the design of the incuse Indian rounds. I have one of them in a 1 oz. round. Very attractive design with a matte like finish.

They are 1/4 oz .999 silver rounds produced by Golden State Mint. Obviously patterned after the $5 and $2.5 incuse Indians, they are so flat that I can easily stack all 100 in a single tower with no leaning at all. The only thing I would have changed on these is the diameter to thickness ratio. They are slightly larger than a quarter but quite thin.

Based on the pics it appears to have a reeded edge.

Nice assortment, creek! MK Barz makes some fantastic products. Lately I find myself gravitating to what I find appealing rather than just trying to accumulate ounces.

I do like the feel of the chunky poured bars, but the shiny ones are nice too. Thinking of getting a few more of the crosses! I too try to have fun collecting what appeals to me, not necessarily the lowest price stuff, related to spot. Today I received this way cool, Monarch Precious Metals "Day of the Dead" skull. Also, an APMEX Year of the Dragon 5 oz., as my birth year falls on a Dragon year =)

It's not unusual for higher quality, limited run pieces of this vintage to have a small flat spot on the edge where there is an edge mark, with hallmarks, a serial number, etc.

Yes compared to other bars on the market I find the Scottsdale's irresistible. I have others but I like those Scottsdale's, beautiful, very attractive.

Indeed, a beautiful Scottsdale collection. Of the ones pictured, what's your favorite Scottsdale there, @crazyhounddog ? The 5 oz King Tut, the 10 oz Chunky and the 10 oz Stacker are all on my want list from Scottsdale, but the one that looks best to me and wish was still available is that 10 oz cast!
