You are much better with electrical projects than I am. I have come to hate DDC. I have ruined a couple of engines with it, and it never seems to work for me. My main thing is the artistry part of it, aging buildings and the like.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
At the moment it's banana stickers, hardly any competition...
You just reminded me I used to collect banana stickers also! Somewhere I have a couple pages worth from the 80's and 90's. Cheap and easy to collect...there were some fun ones if I recall!
In my experience, most coin collectors collect other things as well. Antiques are common in general (I am guilty!) I guess because most coin collectors have an innate appreciation of history. I have various antiques including a 1915 Victrola table top phonograph (works perfectly), silverware, binoculars, branding irons, hay hooks, ice tongs, scales, etc.
