WTB - Master Want to Buy/Trade list

MrBreezeMrBreeze Posts: 1,036 ✭✭✭

I would like to try a "running" WTB list. If you would like, respond to the OP with your want list or general areas that you collect and we can hopefully make some connections between forum members or at least establish a place where people can share their collecting interests.

    Buying Bulk foreign coins.

$4/lb for good mix of all countries and denominations without Mexico or Canadian pennies.
$2/lb for good mix of Mexican coin.
Will pay more for outstanding mixes with lesser known countries, high denominations, and early dates.

    Great initiative.

Core: 16th-19th Century Holy Roman Empire Talers (Austria, Austrian States, Noble Houses, Hungary and related Germany in higher grades)
Other 16-18th Century European Crowns and Ancient Greek Coins if they are distinct in their eye appeal

Great idea! My ‘always looking for’ lists include the following:

Albania/Zog era non-PROVA. Proof yes, Prova no (for now...)
1931 1/2 Lek and full Lek (I will pay stupid money for these two in gem condition).
    1935 2 Fr (to upgrade from a 62)
    1927 10 Fr (64 or better)
1926 20 Franga, Zog bust (listed in Krause, any grade as I've never heard of one being seen)
1928 1 and 2 FrA in non-PROVA. Prova sets are out there, but the alleged circulation ????
    1938 50 Fr
    1926 100 Fr (no star)
    1927 100 Fr (1 star)

For the minors I’m looking for gem quality. Gold 63 or better in slabs—and budget demands I can’t buy a big chunk of gold frequently.

Albania/Italian Occupation 1939-1941 (starting this set, have a good .05, .01, 10 already but gem/near gem in the other denominations helpful).

Japan-- really any gem/near gem may fill a spot (or upgrade) as my type set has expanded to include many date sets. Particularly interested in:
    preWWII/WWII/post war era gems/near gems
    5 sen 1870 deep scales
    1 yen 1870 type III
gin marked 1 yen (looking for a nice example of left and right)
    Japanese error coins
Pre-Meiji mameita gin and chogin (branching out a bit and would like a few more examples)
gold 1 yen low dot variety
    gold 5 yen "new type"

    Spain/Spanish civil war circa 1936/7
25 centimos for Menorca, Marchena, La Puebla de Cazalla
