He says he has tons of them. I would hate to know what they cost him to get made

Some of my favorite sets are in capital plastic holders...I think this is cool and shows he enjoyed actually showing these things off! Whether he took a bath in the process is another story...

Custom made, not Capital holders. I believe one of the members here makes these, not sure if these were made by him.

Nice completed sets of coins for the lazy collector.

I can remember having a complete 64 coin set of buffs in a capital plastics holder; but now made obsolete with the
advent of the coin slab. Also when you had your complete set in a CP holder it was a pain to open it up and replace a
coin(s). I used to take out all the pins except the bottom and top on the left side of the holder and use tape to hold the
right side together, making it like a book. This still works well made the holder much easier to work with. Only had to
remove two of the plastic pins.

I know. Meaning he liked them enough to start producing similar holders himself.

Its not small feat to produce quality holders as it appears he has.

Looks like Larry has a giant task ahead of him in trying to sell that giant lot.

The custom made Capital Plasics holders were great. I had all of my better coins in them during the pre-slab days.

The multiple coin, normal production holders, not so much. They also left some of the rattling in the holes.

Very cool. A big loss when they sell, sure, but still cool.

Honestly it's not a big deal to make one of these. It's three sheets of plastic, one drilled for the coins and all three drilled and tapped for the screws. Doing the foil printing is a bit of work.

But any competent plastics manufacturing shop can do this, it's just not cheap because it's all hand labor. And because they might have to make the drill to the exact size at a machine shop.

Didn't the original CP holders have tapered holes to prevent rattling? Seems you could load them from onew side only. Good luck to him.

I don't like how he didn't put a space or a dash between the dates and mint marks.

Wow.... that is definitely a dealers deal..... A good sized shop might be able to make a fair profit from that... Cheers, RickO

I think these would be pretty easy and cheap to make with a CNC laser. Might take along time to sell them.
