I just noticed a HUGE drop in prices. My registry sets just lost an astonishing amouof list price value in downward moves! Way down 
I guess the folks wanting adjustments in the list price guide got their wish.

I noticed a 10-15% drop last month on Classic Commems across the board.

While locating coins for my registry in the last few months I have noticed a wide disconnect in current values /price guide numbers and what owners actually want.
I realize this is a down market and I am used to the fluctuations of precious metals but I have been surprised to see it in grades coins as well. I realize now the blurry line of redundancy between this and other recent "down market" threads.
I guess the sticker shock was...shocking.
I just wonder if the guy asking $750 for a $700 coin knows similar examples have sold at 580, 375, 290 in the last 12 months.
Will things "bounce back?" Or are we in a new lower baseline?

The Price Guide must be catching up to reflect reality.
The economic roller coaster... ups and downs occur in all markets.. and have done so in coins before... If one could predict the future, one would be wealthy....
