I'm guessing you were thinking the _other_Doubled Die...
I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

Yes, I was thinking it was the 'big one'...

Still nice though, no?

You can forget about a Christmas card this year!
BTW....nice coin.
Does the regular 1955/1955 even exist in 67 RED? Something tells me it doesn't as these didn't come from rolls.
I had to peek. Highest RD is a lone PCGS MS65+. Highest graded is a lone MS66 BN. Tough nut in high grades.
Sure made me look!
Well, I will admit it...from the title, before opening the thread, you had my heart jumping and beating like a jackhammer.
Was a letdown, as I WAS thinking it was the main one, but still, good on ya for what you got.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I knew that there are more than one 55 DDO (MS & PR), but I was hoping. What did take me by surprise is the dual FS#.

My jaw dropped at the thread title. I'm slowly picking it up again...
NICE consolation prize, though!
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
That is the sound of air being let out of my tire.....

Well.....need to readjust my jaw.....congrats!

Beauuutiful, despite not being the big kahuna!

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Do they call that one the "poor man's" DDO?
Link, PCGS values it at $400: http://www.pcgs.com/cert/83428622
Beautiful looking coin. Love it!
One of my favorite varieties. A decent doubled die on both sides! I sold a PR65 red a few years ago for around $325.
Nice coin and grade.
Indeed a very nice piece. I've still got a few raw in my errors/world collection. Very fun to find.
As mentioned above, the poor man's doubled die, I thought, is not a true doubled die. It's just a misnomer, and the last 5 in the date shows signs of die deterioration (or being loose and vibrating). I see a lot of post '64 dimes that do this, especially 66's.
These get sold as poor man's doubled die. Just that faint shadow on the last five. I think this is a beautiful coin and I'm glad it's very light.
You'll see messed up cents in 57 and 58 from Denver that tend to have pock marks and gouges, which end up leaving drops of metal on the coin or filling random letters or numbers. I've got tons from unc rolls. Neat but distracting, fun for a kid to find.
How rude!
Tricky tricky
Yep... got my heart beating...Still a very nice coin.. Congratulations... Cheers, RickO
You got me! Nice coin
nice coin.
I haven't been teased like that since I went to go see Gypsy Rose.

Even though it's not the BIG DDO.......this is a beautiful Lincoln variety!
That's just mean ...
Took me two days to figure out the jest... Lol

Nice coin but that's a Charlie Brown "kick the football" if I've ever seen one!
I can never seem to do better than a 65 on any classic coin so congrats on that.
