eBay scammer...Sold a sealed APMEX Mint Direct Roll ... see scans below ... buyer claims "Not as described"..claims tube arrived opened.

His scan below alleges the way it arrived

Note: It's impossible to open one of these tubes unless you use a box cutter. In addition, this buyer sells single ASE's or by small lots. It does not take a "Rocket Scientist" to figure out what he did. I've notified eBay with my suspicion and they are investigating the claim. Buyers ebay id: arkansassilver

Thank you for your opinion. I suspect that most of us realize, it's a sales gimmick that APMEX uses to sell them at a premium. That does not alter the fact, that the buyer, who sells them individually or by small lots from his ebay store, opened the tube, cherry picked the best, and who knows what I'm getting back.

    Appreciate the notice.
Though I rarely sell on ebay, I can make certain not to buy from them.

You'd think the scammer would have at least scammed APMEX directly instead hassling you . ..

Hmm I really don't know about cherry picking bullion, seems quite odd...

You would think that instead of belittling those who do, that others would find a way to use it to their advantage. Guess not.

You wouldn't expect a guy with an 8K feedback rating who also sells a ton of ASEs on ebay to bother trying to scam someone like this.

MS70 on brand new bullion is a joke. Our host may not like me saying that, but I'd sure like to know how the heck the differecne is distinguished between 69 & 70 on a brand new coin. They're ALL 69 as far as I'm concerned if they came ina tube.
Either way, thanks for the heads up OPA.
