Both bst's have become for all intensive purposes, print ads for coin vault and HSN...
Or maybe buyers and sellers have unrealistic buying and selling points? It works both ways, it's a 2 way street. What absolutely kills me is people saying their buying..ooh I'm a buyer now and then haggle over .25/coin on a 9 coin Lot when they aint even paying for the shipping. Place has become a joke from both sides of it.

I never will understand how anyone here can price their items for sale @ higher than APMEX prices for the exact same items. 2 AGE 1/10ths from APMEX would cost $282.22 shipped. Why would people pay more for them AND take the small risk of getting burned by a relatively unknown forum member?
I've had several wonderful transactions with salmonrat. He's a-ok in my book.

Question....are 20 franc gold Swiss Helvetia's welcome here, if priced close to melt?
It's bullion if it's a precious metal and priced close to melt so it would be welcome here. These coins are interesting. I read in several places that many were struck by the Swiss using Nazi gold salvaged from the victims of the holocaust and are dated from the 1920's to hide their origins. Creepy, huh? The so-called neutral Swiss served as the bankers for the Nazis.

Agree. It's not unusual to see common readily available silver bars on the BST that can be bought for less from some on the major bullion dealers such as JM Bullion, Provident Metals, or APMEX.
Generally one needs to be competitive or a bit below those places in order to offset their advantages.

Let's keep the BST thread clean of commentary.
Some discussion is beneficial IMO.
Discussion on the Precious Metals forum is wide open to everyone on any topic that pertains to precious metals.
But the BST thread is specifically for Buying, Selling, and Trading.

I agree, but IMO that type of info is likely to be missed or not heeded unless some starts a thread about it.
As in any coin venue, caveat emptor---let the buyer (and seller) beware.

Weiss, does that include ALL types of commentary? For example, if a member posts an item that I happen to know for a fact is fake, may I comment? I do not see the difference between that type of commentary, and general pricing commentary. Maybe you do or do not.

100% agree. If anyone rubbished their items for sale on the BS&T forum, they'd be screaming bloody murder.
