New acrylic coin Holders?

I just picked these up at my nearby B+M shop. These particular ones are for nickels. I purchased the two V Nickels, both for only $2.95! The main reason I bought them is not for the Nickels but for the two Holders. I never seen anything like these. Has anyone else? By the way, the two V nickels are a 1910 and a bargain for a 1912D. Does anyone know if I can get the Nickels out and/or where I can get these? Thanks guys. :)

Look like they are acrylic and you're never going to open them.

Wow, that's a thick Slab, I would also assume it's pretty heavy. I don't quite get the concept. Is it in a snap-tight?

Yes! and it is kinda heavy. Almost 2 ounces? They almost feel like glass? That's what I'm saying, these are awesome! I wish I can find some more. So I could put what coins I want into them. Nobody ever hear of these?

I like the presentation of them. If I had, say about 100, I know people would admire them enough to sell at a yard sale or Coin Show. Just the appearance, I think, would sell them? It did for me. I bet I can sell a nickel (probably a common one too) for $3. That would be $300! I purchased them just because of how the Holder looked. I wasn't even looking what dates were in them. LOL and for under $3, you can't go wrong. Plus, like I mentioned, the 1912D V nickel was in one of the Holders.

Those are really unusual. I hope someone has more info. Very interesting!

    Any writing inside the box?

It almost looks like something you would see on television for $29.99 for a couple 100 year old nickels.

No writing, I checked. Maybe, I'll go back to the B+M store where I bought these at and ask questions?

Nice way to seal/protect those 'special' coins (i.e. family heirlooms). Or coins that you find especially nice but not worth sending to a TPG. Cheers, RickO

Hey guys, just went back to that coin shop where I purchased the two V Nickels w/the special Holders. Guess what? I bought two more. This time, they were a tad different. First of all, they contained two, Buffalo Nickels, and the Holder didn't have the detail gold trim. but most important reason I went back was to ask around. I spoke to the actual owner and he said, that these just came in like that. The two cases in which I bought from a customer. He has no knowledge of where to get more of these. He stated himself, that they are special holders and that the holders themselves are more valuable than the coins inside! Oh well, maybe I can find some more at the Tinley Park Show coming up next week? I hope anyway?
One More Thing... The two Buffalos inside, I still didn't even check. LOL
