1802 Large Cent Back From PCGS-{From Previous Post}
Paid extra fee for mint error authentication or would it

have come back as a no grade, I thought details would be on slab label. Any thoughts to what this reverse is all about, planchet flaw,Strike thru, the incuse design looks like a liberty cap to me. All I have to go on is it is not PMD. Thanx as always.

Sure looks like a strike through.... tough to tell from that picture....Cheers, RickO
Hmmm... I would give 'em (customer service) a holler about the "error" attribution. I agreed with ricko on the "strike through" appearance.

It might help your research if you could get a Seldon variety number for the piece. There might be some die state information available in one of the reference books.
I thought we went through this already. The coin is an S-240.
It has rev. die cracks all over, heavy clashing & a loose obv. die.
Breen's description of die states for rev. K may give some clues
for the missing piece at the fraction area.
