Hard to tell for sure from pics. Looks like it could be very deep. Or it could be photo messing or just lighting tricks.

I've owned a few DCAM coins over the years. Most recently this one (sorry, world coin, used for illustrative purposes only)........my advice is that when you hold a true DCAM in-hand, you'll just know it! If it's in-hand and you're still on the fence about it, then it's not really DCAM, and don't pay a DCAM premium regardless of the label.

From your photos I'd say 95% DCAM. That's based on maybe a couple stars and a few reverse peripheral letters having less contrast than the others. DCAM appearance w/o the DCAM price.

On coins that have 2nd attributes to determine value besides just the grade, the TPG's sometimes make a choice between the 2. Such as a PF65 DCAM or a PF66+ CAM where either grade/attribute would work. They select the one more in line with the coin's value.

To me the haze in the fields is holding it back. If PCGS conserved it I wonder if it would then DCAM.

Depends on the lighting. I've gotten coins home to find totally different contrast, some not for the better. Have you ever found yourself blocking out the existing light like those at a Heritage show room to get a better look at the coin/contrast?

When a coin is between CAM and DCAM, that is a judgement that really cannot be made from pictures... If you are truly thinking DCAM, send it in for reconsideration.... Cheers, RickO

That is a sweet coin. PCGS values deep mirrors and the photos suggest they might not be deep enough.
