A new Bust Dime for my Complete set by JR number.

DIMEMANDIMEMAN Posts: 22,403 ✭✭✭✭✭

This is a 1832 JR6 PCGS50 (Gorman) that I got from Sunshine Rare Coins at FUN. The pic doesn't quite show all the shimmering luster, but is a pretty good pic. Comments welcome.

Great coin. Good luck on your quest. I honestly think collecting bust dimes by variety is one of the more attainable goals for 19th century coins and very rewarding as well.

It's tough to find coins like that and takes a while; congratulations on your project.

Pretty cool. No doubt it is not easy to update your set, since it is 86% complete.

I like it, and the pedigree is special.

    Yes - I thought so as well...my Grandmother was a Gorman -
and I'd love to own that coin myself as 1832 is another Family
    Year for me...

Nice! Gorman, David Sunshine, and you, have excellent taste! The Gorman collection was offered through Dave Perkins in the last couple years, via silent auction and direct sale. You can see from this example why the auction prices were very very strong.

Nice and crusty with good eye appeal.

I think pedigrees are cool, as well.

    Good job.

Dimeman - i enjoy set building too and more folks should build sets. First off - great job keep up acquiring coins that have great eye appeal that are original. Secondly, the pedigree is from one of friends that recently died way to young so his pedigree is personal for me. Thirdly, the strike on the reverse is exceptional and could grade 53 but I wouldn't have the coin regraded. Congrats on acquiring such a fine looking coin and good luck completing your Capped Bust dime set.
