The 1934 Quarter was found in change by my sharp-eyed son. First Purchases of 2017 were the 2015 Britannia and the 1781 8 Reales shipwreck coin. I've always wanted a shipwreck coin. HM

Quarter PCGS AU5
That is a nice 1834 5C RPL FS-901 B-1 No decimal point after 25C is one of the pick-up-points as well as the overpunching of letters in OF on the reverse. May even be considered Late Die State due to the die crack going across Liberty's Bust Line.

I had to wait till I got back in the US on the 9th of January, drive across the US from California to South Carolina, Unpack, get internet service, but I finally pulled my first cherry pick and thus coin on the 23rd of 2017. Its a dog, but none the less a cheap pick - 1956 proof DDO #2.

I got an NGC Sample Slab that housed a 1910 Liberty Head Nickel. For some reason I can't post the picture. However, here is the link to the lot: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1910-Circulated-Liberty-Head-V-Nickel-Circ-5C-FA-00-NGC-Sample-Slab-199998-016-/222369805660?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&nma=true&si=SGZuYtQQFcqR%2BmRT2b9qJqKEzSk%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

To me, the 1858-S $5 is one of the top 3 most underrated and undervalued no motto $5's. Congrats on owning a great coin.

Got this a few weeks ago. First of the year for me.

Obviously not a coin...... Patek Philippe 5970 Prepetual Calender Watch. If you think the Chinese can made a decent replica coin, this is how good they rep a $150,000 watch! Fully functional, keeping excellent time, and with the addition of a custom strap...pure eye candy. Cost?, $288, $36 for the strap.
