In the last 12 months, which venue do you think yielded you the best price vs. quality coins?

As the year draws to a close, curious what you think represented your ideal hunting ground, in context of price vs. quality.
Ebay? GC? Heritage? Legend? Online dealer websites? Coin shows? BST?
There is no right/wrong answer, just seeking your experience(s) over the past 12 months.

easy .....ebay by far ....
Easily Ebay, sort of.

No clear winner here. The one piece I bought for my long term collection, I found among a major dealer's ebay offerings. I bought an array of interesting things for resale on the BST and at a few shows. Not sure I even went into any B&M shops this year.
Not being much of a collector of coins (no money), but doing a lot of research about them, I get to browse a lot of material. The "happiest hunting ground" seems to be among the extremes - very large dealers and small-time sellers at shows and on-line venues.
What I observe is that the big companies allocate little time and resources to examining material they buy. They tend to buy the label, or make only cursory examinations of raw coins. This results in many missed opportunities and good hunting for careful, knowledgeable collectors. The small-time end of the scale includes many who have shallow numismatic knowledge and often miss important characteristics even when they claim to "study" the coins they sell.
In either case, the collector has to have clear, up-to-date numismatic knowledge to discover gems among the gravel. With knowledge and a willingness to take objective, factual control of purchases, collectors can both enjoy and profit from their hobby.
Having just reentered hobby,I started on this forum. Bought from the BST , went and bought things on other sites recommended here in some topics. Expect ebay will take the lead in the next 12 months or maybe not
Stacks, followed by eBay and then my place of employment.
While I most often find satisfactory deals on eBay, I had some notable transactions on dealer websites that were absolutely excellent. Most recently Northeast Numismatics and David Kahn Rare Coins.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
My best pickups of the year have come in this order - Ebay, Shows, local B&M, and Other B&M.
Private deals with dealers.
Auctions are a hassle, and seldom yield any bargains. It seems like every time I bid on something, people flock to bid against me, even when item is not very important.
eBay, GC

you're kidding, right?? that sounds like something K6az would say!!!
eBay, LCS and a close third is GC.
.
shops, shows, private. to buy and sell; although selling via ebay & email was nice.
.
Shows for quality, GC for value. B & M shops for value and service (first shot, etc). BST for quality, value and service.
I think it shows that he has a Very Good eye for quality.

Private deals with dealers by light years...
GC, followed by shows/flea mkt/local auctions, eBay distant 3rd.
Really depends on what you're looking for.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
I have done really well with boutique dealers on both ends of the buy/sell. Mostly Legend and CRO

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I am just getting back into the hobby, but in my experience, some of the best deals I have ever gotten were from right here in the BST!

I don't the venue is important. The trick is to find outstanding coins and acquire them at a fair price. Getting a killer buy on a lousy coin isn't really that great of a deal as far as I'm concerned.
The past few years.... definitely the BST..... Cheers, RickO
