I don't know if it is just me but I don't see anything..
Nor I.
This will be a good test of personal preference and grading opinions. Wish I could do a double poll!

Well here is # 2! Software glitche?
How are you guys seeing it before I post?
I'm going with coin number two, I prefer the white. I'm just not a big fan of the color of 1
As far as grade I don't know anything so I'll go 64
AU58 vs. MS62/63. If you're building an everyman set, coin #1 one if it went 58+ could be the eventual winner...assuming there's no PVC or other issues with those mottly/moldy surfaces. #2 coin has less risk based on the photos but would fit well in an XF/AU set. Both coins seem fine for what they are though.
Both coins are shot with the same light and camera.
They are as close as I think one can get for an in hand look in a picture!
2 Looks MS63...#1 looks AU58 IMO..
I know #2 is a higher grade, but I like #1 better.
I think #2 has cleaner cheeks and better color.

+1 obverse on 2 has too many hits on the face and neck for my taste
My method of photography actually intensifies the chattering and toning on the cheek of #2.
Looks like the pics are changed now?? I like # 1!!
I like the one with the darker toning and cleaner cheeks......

I don't really care for either; #1 is dull and mottled; #2 looks like something has been done to hide/conceal problem area on cheek and back part of jawline.
Either that or it's just an artifact of the lighting.
LMAOROTF! No pictures have been changed!
2 is the better struck coin.
It's too chrome like for my tastes.
1 does nothing for me - don't like
the REV strike - it's either that or there
is AU 55 wear on it / but, I believe it's
a weaker strike.
Have a wonderful day tomorrow.....

PS if you click on the picture and then click on it again it becomes full screen!
Your 1st comment on that coin when you viewed in hand was it was a lock 58+ or better!
just goes to show ya, grading is a gut reaction -
my gut had lobster tonight - so - my feelings
changed.
Which coin are you saying I thought it was a 58+ ??
When presented with two + coins to compare -
I think you become more critical.

I did not vote. I would rather have coin #1. I will even go out on a limb and suggest it is an MS coin-no higher than 62. Coin #2 likely graded 62 tops with the reverse looking better than the obverse. As usual, I find myself in the minority on this, but from my perspective coin #1 is the keeper.

I'm not much into toning, it's tough when your color blind.

Coin #2.... not that everyone would not have guessed my choice...
Nice looking coin...good strike. Cheers, RickO
You looked at coin #2 at the FUN show in 2014. It is PL is the reason it looks chromy in the picture as you put it!
D- I took a look at both coins but would state my collecting range would not line-up with a purchase of either coin. Here are my observations. #1: There is some light wear on Liberty's cheek and neck area high points. The reverse upper right portion of the sheild also exhibits rub. Color has a pleasing, slightly darker palette of toning which would be a nice addition to an Everyman set. My opinion, AU-55 with green bean or 58 on a blessed day at PCGS. #2: Really nice luster on this '92 specimen. In this case, it would be nice to rotate the coin under incadescent light to view the level of intensity on that luster. Not meaning to be harsh, there seems to be an ever so slight amount of friction on the upper right reverse shield, however, I love the look and surface quality of that reverse. With so much luster on the obverse, I can't see enough detail in the devices to accurately grade. Don't know if the darker cheek area is a by-product of lighting or actually has darker tone. Because of this, I might consider this coin to be as close to AU-58+ as you might get or could be MS-62 if the darker cheek is a subject of lighting. IMHO (you have asked for an opinion), I would choose #2 just for the luster alone... over the more colorful #1.

I prefer the look of coin #2. I know coin #1 is the representative in your Everyman set (due to two intersecting lines on the label), I suspect you prefer the look of #2 as well.
Same coin pre dipped and post dipped?
Time for a new monitor or reading glasses!
Time for a new cell phone
I like #1 better, though it looks to be slightly lower grade. 58 versus 61.

I prefer the original look of the first coin. But I'll admit it doesn't make me sit up and take notice. I'll also admit that I don't know this series very well so take my opinion for what it's worth.
Hard to tell without seeing the coins in hand (and knowing the series) whether the weakness on the reverse of #1 is due to strike or actual wear. I'm leaning towards strike and would guess Coin #1 is a 58. Coin #2 appears to be technically superior with a much better strike and looks like a Mint State coin that was possibly 'silently netted' to 58 as well due to the friction on liberty's cheek. I like the skin on #1 (just personal preference) and is what I voted for. Will be curious to see what our hosts had to say about these.
I'd rather have a less expensive original AU (#1) than a dipped out MS (#2).
Much prefer the original look of #1 over the dipped #2. I'd guess AU58 on both coins.
Doug
2 looks like it has had a bath,
1 is a nice 58.
However beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I'll take #2 please
1 MS61-2
2 MS63/4
Yes dipped but a nice coin.
Hoard the keys.
If coin #2 is going to show rub on the reverse shield or obverse cheek, then there also should be rub visible on the the eagle's wing tips and head, as well as Liberty's fore lock. The shield lines not always being fully struck, should not be relied upon to prove rub.
Lots of interesting opinions! I'll give it a bit longer then I will post our host's opinions!
Much prefer #1. I can see #2 in the future showing the secondary toning I don't like. Orangish color usually starts at the rims and moves in, usually requiring an additional "treatment". My preference for originality (can't get it back after it's gone) is always a major influence in my purchases. But as Darrell's site states you can't be sure until you have a coin in hand. My guess is 58 on both coins.
I concur with @ricko 's assessment of the question as posed.

Coin #1 is graded 58+. Coin #2 is graded 58.
Here is my opinion of the coins.
The 58+ is a lifeless turd compared to the majority of my set! I'm sure that will give some of you a chuckle!
I have submitted the other coin 3 times in an attempt to garner the coveted + grade! Many have said it is a lock + when they view it. The only thing I can figure is PCGS will not + it because now they think it is MS. So what! Wouldn't it be better to have a + if it is undergraded? That being said I will own 2 92's, 1 for my registry and 1 for my preference!
I have yet been able to figure out PCGS's rhyme or reason for assigning a + grade. I do feel there are 2 teams of graders...1 seems to like toned and the other seem to like luster bombs. (insert conspiracy theories here!
)
Take a look through my set and compare the + graded coins to the ones PCGS will not +.

Many of my coins that will not + are far superior to many of the +'s I have in my opinion!
Terrific collection. Thanks for sharing the two coins and the link to your set. Well played

I was trying to edit the title to show I have posted the grades. The only problem is the body would be empty(IE loose the Poll). If I copy and paste the poll and votes will it post correctly? Evidently there is no way just to edit the title.
My $1.00 worth.
Coin one, very old cleaning that has since gained some (not so desirable) skin.
Coin two, what was a very nice Unc. coin, that has since been dipped a bit over the top.
You need to see coin #2 in hand! Far from dipped out and the fields are like a PL Morgan Dollar! The toning on the cheek is mostly an artifact of the picture...IE greatly amplified.
