Sigma Precious Metal Verifier is a very handy device to check PMs. I use one. shop around for prices.

Can be found cheaper on ebay.

Yours should be ok...Now if it came in a "clear plastic case" or direct fit holder instead sealed in plastic, I'd be worried.

If these guys can counterfit the bars why don't they seal them in plastic sheets also?

Agree ..... or it can be done by a crooked buyer. Caveat emptor when buying PM.

Two sheets of 10 of these bars which were heat sealed in the sheets were presented for sale. Most likely packaged this way in China.

Ive not had these in sheets come in as counterfeits, but I have had Scottsdale 1oz bars in sheets that were fake come into our store.
derryb is right, the Sigma verifiers can be a lifesaver. We have four of them here at work and they were well worth the money. Not only do you find potential fakes, but by having them around you deter people from knowingly bringing in bad material.
