    I've never sold anything.
I do, however, have duplicate Daniel Carr items, perhaps they could be used as a trade for D. Carr item I'd like to have and vice-versa to a potential tradee.

@airplanenut Jeremy, that is simply an amazingly cool piece of family history. If you ever sold it, I think the rest of the family should hunt you down to beat you with sticks!!! :)

Just about anything I've bought I will sell for the right price (which may be astronomical if I really like it). There are a few pieces that have sentimental value far beyond their intrinsic value, and could never be sold, including the first two coins I ever bought, a few other early purchases, and some gifts. Along with those, this pair will never, ever be sold:

Jeremey, that is so cool. Thanks for sharing. A nice piece of family history.

I've sold things I thought I'd never sell. This is because I needed to fund a new acquisition and that I'd felt I'd gotten maximum enjoyment from the period of ownership of the released coin.

I'm not into "never", but it would be hard to part with my colorfully toned A&R seated half.

"Never" is a pretty strong word. I do have the 1904-O Morgan that was my favorite of the coins my dad inherited from my great grandfather in 1978 -- spent long hours looking at this coin as a third-grader, pretty much what got me started collecting. It would take an unusual crisis to pry that loose.
