Fake. Besides the surfaces, the date doesn't look right to me, especially the 9.

The dentils at the rim to the left of the date. The date numbers themselves. The mint mark (CC) is in the wrong position for that date. Overall appearance shows some mushiness.

What's the above got to do with this thread? Not the coin in question.

It just looks like crap for starters. Then you look at it more closely and see how there is really no sharp detail where there should be. The rim and the denticles are lousy looking. The "problem finish" is meant to hide the fact that the coin is fake. If I really wanted to get picky, the mint mark (not a "capped" CC) is in the wrong position for all but one die pair and this isn't it.

The mint mark is in the wrong position, so it`s more likely a fake

100% fake. In addition to everything else mentioned, the relief of details pop of the surface in an unnatural way for a coin that would have experienced true wear. This is the type of counterfeit meant to deceive with "false wear," something that is truly hard to replicate in mass production of fakes...

Fake without a doubt. The digits in the date are not all the same size, and the surfaces and sharpness are all wrong. The minter was eating egg fu yong while he was striking it.
