I just bought a mid grade bust half.

While I usually gravitate to higher grades, this old gal intrigued me that it was worn yet had not been whacked around and hit with nails or rocks!
and I just found it interesting that the surfaces stayed so unmarked even with all the wear.

HAPPY COLLECTING
This..
Crust with some color - love it!
Very nice. That's my kind of coin.
Let me guess: you didn't find it at your local coin dealer .
Nice! Great look.

Very "dirty" looking bustie with an attractive cameo effect. I love it. Good chance it's never been cleaned, unlike 90% of the others.
Very much like that piece. I'd very happily pay a premium to own such a coin at the assigned grade.
Love it.
Great pick.
that's a nice half congrats on the pick up
That is a very nice old coin.... I agree with your assessment...Nice addition. Cheers, RickO
That's a very pretty coin. I like it.

Latin American Collection
I've always loved heraldics......They just seem very 'American'......
Due to the toning it has the illusion of having more detail...I really like it.
damning with faint praise..... heh heh
Not to mention almost exactly a third of the cost of REAL detail.
When I see coins with this appearance I wonder if maybe it was a weak/flat strike to start with then it got a little circulation and some toning with age, so very few hits or marks. Not sure if that's what happened here, either way it's a sweet F-15.
Successful BST deals with mustangt and jesbroken. Now EVERYTHING is for sale.
An "honest" coin
Very nice addition to any collection
I've had an almost prefect match of a 1799 dollar in F-15 for 20+ years.
Our local dealer that I've known for over 30 years offered me VF retail money years back but won't give it up.
Down the road I'll most likely sell the high grade coin I have and keep the circulated coin. As a youngster these were the coins I dreamed about when going thru the Red Book not the MS 66+
That's a beauty.
