What is the worst product you purchased directly from the US Mint and truly regret doing so?

Years ago, the US Mint sold a State Quarter coin and die set product. These were never popular, I believe in large part, because they completely ground off the design. I wondered if they still offered these and did a quick search of their web site and came up with nothing.
The Mint advertised that the coin was selected after the first few strikes of the new die. They were delivered with a certificate of authenticity and number of strikes produced before the die set was retired.
The original cost was $35 each. I notice on eBay that auctions starting at $5.00 end without any bids.
This product gets my vote.

Mint wrapped "rolls" of various coinage were also a bust. We are paying a premium mark up for what is essentially pocket change...
the uncirc and proof sets
coin and stamp combo when SHQ started
They bailed out after ~half of them were done. So it's a nowhere collection.
Modern clad and mint sets as well.
I actually like my coin/die set but was disappointed (was newly back into numismatics at the time I bought it, so didn't know what to look for) but do wish one could get the included quarter graded as a first strike
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I do not still own a single thing I have every purchased from the Mint.
the mint sold state quarter spoons
the mint also sold a yellowstone folio of pictures before all the special with coin sets... so, no, it didn't have a coin in it.
(ps, if anyone has this yellowstone folio from the mint I'll consider taking it off your hands, but down around issue price)
ps: and the mint is now back to cross marketing with the BEP, now that their feud has subsided.
Those spoons are crap! lol

I bought "Jefferson's Liberty" half ounce gold bullion "coins" in MS and proof in 2007, and the ultra high relief ounce in 2009.
I've glanced at them occasionally and don't regret the purchases, even though they don't really fit into my collection of real coins

I can't think of anything that I have purchased directly from the mint that I really dislike. It might be less than exciting, but I still hold a collector's interest in the items I have purchased.
I can think of a number of items that I DIDN'T PURCHASE from the mint that I STILL THINK are boring. Heading up the list were those little sealed bags of State Quarters that were filled with nothing but pocket change. If you opened them, all of the value went away. Therefore all your had was a canvas bag that jingled with a some quarters in it.
If memory services the Delaware State Quarter bag sold for upwards of $700 at one point. I don't know what it brings now, but if it's that much now, I'd be very surprised. As a collector of just about everything Delaware that was either made by the U.S. Mint or in the 19th century, my disinterest in this item is unusual.
2016-W APE, sold it at a loss, after eBay fees, shipping. etc.....Then the buyer kept hounding me for proof that it was what I sold him because he didn't want to open the mint sealed box. After a dozen emails and sending him proof, he finally relented. Never again. Ill buy what i am going to keep for myself as I have a terrible track record for what will turn a profit.

Would you believe that I've never bought a product directly from the mint? No modern crap for me.
I bought a mint set every year during the '80s and '90s. Pretty coins, but VERY boring. Gratefully, I had to sell 'em (for a loss) in 2005.
Now I'm more selective with my mint purchases.

I've never purchased any products directly from the mint ... can't stand the stuff.
