Born in Chicago, grew up in the suburbs. My first baseball memories were the Cubs flop to the Miracle Mets in '69. 1984 was tantalizingly close. Leon Durham's error was killer. 1989, Mark Grace was great but Will Clark was better. 2003 was the Bartman year. My grandfather was born in 1909 and was a life long Cub fan, my father was born in 1934 also life long Cubs fan. Neither of them survived to see this one. I have kind of soured on professional sports in the last decade or two - too much money for too many athletes who are just jerks. None the less, this one was special. Watched the game with many of my good friends. A game and day I will not forget.
I would say that it was the best Game 7 I have ever seen, but I would put it as second best overall game in the World Series. Game 6 of Cardinals/Rangers in 2011 was the best I have seen. Hard to compare....
I had no horse in this race but I was hoping that the Cubbies would win after the comeback from the 3-1 series deficit. I like the city of Chicago more, too, and the idea of them winning the Series is almost like folklore in 2016.....has been for years. That was the most exciting World Series game that I've ever seen!
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍
Thoroughly enjoyed the Series, even though I pay more attention to the NHL Blackhawks.
Hopefully the Win will boost the Chicagoan satisfaction with life enough to slow the homicide rate for a few weeks. . .
Congrats to the Cubs and their fans. Was a very fun series to watch, even having no stake in either team.
It's a shame Chicago has become a political punchline and the focus of so much negative press. I think the city is in need of some good news and positive events.
Congrats. to the Cubs and Chicago! This is a hard core Cardinals fan talking too. Born and raised in Chicago but a true Redbirds fan. The Cubs deserve to win after what they have done to Cleveland the last 3 games, wow!!! Now the Cards /Cubs rivalry will be on FIRE!-joey To keep it coin related, here's a coin to say for now, the Cubs are on the throne, for now.

Id vote for game 7 of the 1991 World Series as the greatest World Series game ever. It was 0-0 going into the 10th inning with both starters (John Smoltz and Jack Morris) tossing 9 shutout innings and Morris hurling a complete game 10 inning shutout. That will never ever happen again.
Id put game 6 of the same series (Kirby Puckett's game ending HR) very closely behind it. Im not a Twins fan btw
Congrats to the Cubs and their fans!
Always looking for tougher PSA 10's of Nolan Arenado, Alex Bregman, Mookie Betts, Francisco Lindor, and Mike Trout.
I spent my first 14 years of life in Illinois, so I was rooting for the Cubs. That was great game 7!
I was also at game 6 in the Twins 91 series. After Kirby hit the homer, the crowd noise was deafening in the old metrodome stadium. I have to say that both series were great!
This World Series still does not equal the famous 1975 World Series between the Big Red Machine and the Red Sox which was probably the greatest World Series everes
The 1991 World Series pitted the Minnesota Twins (95–67) of the American League against the Atlanta Braves (94–68) of the National League. The Minnesota Twins won in seven games.[1][2][3][4] ESPN selected it as the "Greatest of All Time" in their "World Series 100th Anniversary" countdown, with five of its games being decided by a single run, four games decided in the final at-bat and three games going into extra innings.[5]
I'd agree with this assessment from Wikipedia and yes, I'm a Twin's fan!

BTW, congrats to the CUBS - very entertaining World Series - a "November Classic".

I'm happy for the Cubs. The game was one of the most entertaining I've ever watched in any sport. I'm a Red Sox fan and was working in Boston in 2004. I know how special it is for a team to win after waiting for so long. The Indians gave them a run for their money . Either team would have been a worthy victor.
The best comment all week was, "One team hasn't won since Truman was President, the other since the Ottoman Empire was still in play".

W flags flying:
While I am not a baseball fan, I certainly congratulate the Cubs on a great series and victory. Cheers, RickO
Awesome game!
Not much work will get done across the country today.
Stressful game with a wonderful ending. I have many fond memories of being one of the bleacher bums. Since this is a coin forum:
it's Chicago related!

I live in N.Chicago. Go CUBS! Game of the Year!
I'm glad that Billy Williams was there. I wish most of the other 69 Cubs could have - along with Jack Brickhouse.
Most Indian fans! including myself congratulate the Cubs on a great World Series!
Most Indians fans including myself congratulates the Cubs on a great World Series!
It hurts to lose but we realize the CUbs were the best 2016 team in baseball especially after our injuries to the starting pitching staff.
Wait until next year! We expect to see the Cubs again!
