The last major product made the product schedule this morning... Just a placehold page right now. But it's scheduled to go on sale December 1.

American Eagle 2016 One Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin (16EG)

The price will be $44.95, probably no mintage limits, probably no HHL's.

If nothing changes and the 2016 ASE's go off sale on Dec 30, this coin will only be available for 30 days...

12/30. The mint isn't open on the weekend. I'm assuming (there's that word) they will come off-sale at the end of 2016 because of the way the law was worded. From the FAST Act:

SEC. 73002. AMERICAN EAGLE SILVER BULLION 30TH ANNIVERSARY.
Proof and uncirculated versions of coins issued by the Secretary of the Treasury pursuant to subsection (e) of section 5112 of title 31, United States Code, during calendar year 2016 shall have a smooth edge incused with a designation that notes the 30th anniversary of the first issue of coins under such subsection.

Subsection (e) of section 5112 of title 31 clearly states the Silver Eagle must have reeded edges. Once the "calendar year 2016" has expired, non-reeded Silver Eagles are no longer allowed by law.

Now, you can take issue with the word "issued". I did. But all reeded ASE products (proof and uncirc) went off sale at the end of 2015 because of the FAST Act. Because of that (unless the mint got further clarification from congress), I would expect the same behavior and have the mint end the non-reeded coins at the end of 2016.

Last year on Dec 31st did the mint discontinue sales of proof and Unc Silver Eagles on their website or was the discontnuation limited to the bullion to vendor program?

The FAST Act didn't affect bullion, only the Proof and Burnished (Uncirc) collector versions. This is the thread on CU that gave some details.

They made the same mistake with the proof, posting last year's price. A few days before the sale, it was raised to 2016 prices. (I subscribed, just in case, )

The coin is listed in the Federal Register as $44.95.

Re: availability after 12/31 I inquired and the Mint said this:

_Please be advised that while we cannot guarantee product availability following an item's release, the item will remain on sale until inventory is depleted.____

SO it looks like however many they strike up to 12/31 will be sold for as long

OK, so whatever was struck by Dec 1 (or later Dec) will be available into 2017. Agggg...

Seems that way...they can bang 'em out all of November and December (and maybe actually started in October or earlier)...but....logic would say that if they couldn't sell 2015 struck ASE's in 2016 they shouldn't be selling 2016 30th Annie ASE's in 2017....

I guess time will tell....
