Seeing the January items starting to appear on eBay gets me itchy to see my 1/17 order shipped.

I was one of the early big Daniel Carr buyers. I stopped buying his wonderful tokens only because I ran out of room in my safe deposit boxes.

I have probably the most 1964-D peace dollars (mostly bulk handled) and 1964-D Morgan dollars and 2007 through 2012 full Amero sets. They are all in the ANACS holders with Daniel original signatures in ink.

I see I missed out on a few awesome new DC offerings particularly his 1886-O trade dollar!

I am wondering why on these JJ Conway Tokens you counterstamped .999 fine silver on them rather than incorporating it into the die?

With counterstamps , one die can be used for four different metals . Or Dan just likes to counter stamp stuff 😜

  • SPalladinoSPalladino Posts: 868 ✭✭✭✭✭

And perhaps consistent with that original period / producer?

I noticed the "1793" Flowing Hair over-strike“ now reads “discontinued”. Anyone know what the scoop is? Most of Dan coins still show a price after retirement.

Must have been the jinx -they came today. Pictures to follow.

Dan - why no signature on the gold? No huge deal but I always liked the touch.

Impressions: the PL properties of the Clark, Gruber 1/4 eagle are steadily improving. Beautiful!
The Smith & Co. $5 has a distinctly greenish appearance like the CG 2013 0.825 coin.
